We rented four videos this weekend, as I pretty much stayed curled up on the couch chasing antibiotics with orange juice. None of them were that great, but I’ll give my 2 cents, anyway.
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown- I loved the first IA, but this one just didn’t capture the emotion the first one had. I did like the character played by Queen Latifah (a mammoth that thinks she’s an opossum), and Scrat is always a delight to watch. My rating: B-
Stay Alive - A thriller based on a scary video game. You die in the game, you die the same way in real life. Not very scary and a weak plot. My rating: D
Roseanne Barr: Blonde N’ B*tchin’ - I love her sense of humor, and she doesn’t disappoint in this standup performance. It starts off a little slowly, but quickly shows us the Roseanne that we all know and love; loud and obnoxious! The extras were a little lacking, but overall worth seeing. My rating: B-
The Da Vinci Code - Hmmm… I liked the movie and storyline, but have since done some research that shows most of the information provided was either fabricated or altered to fit the story. This is a work of fiction, so that’s okay, but alot of people who watch it will accept the “historical” data as fact. A great film, though. My rating: B+
