@ fightingwindmills: It was quite good. I think it’s kind of funny because so many of the fans are weeping as the fake MJ flies overhead. I would have been crying just because the concert was over. My one big regret is that I never saw that tour live. I was just a little too young and all of the concerts were overseas.

@ Accountable: This was well after the Pepsi incident. I think that happened in 1984. He claims that he became addicted to pain killers because of the ensuing pain from the burns and was apparently still taking them regularly when this concert was filmed.

I hate to disappoint, but he used a double to achieve that stunt. If you watch really closely right before the blast-off happens, they move a large box in front of Michael and you can see him step up slightly into it. Then the double appears and is outfitted with the rocket device. The box that contains MJ is quickly wheeled offstage.

I’m sure it was a safety issue, because is something happened to the rigging with the real MJ flying over the crowd and he fell, he would surely be torn to bits by the thousands of rabid fans! Did you see the condition of that “Billie Jean” hat after he threw it into the crowd?

I have that concert on DVD and it is simply amazing!! He was soooo on top of his game at that point in his career and put on one heck of a show.
