He's burnt out at his job and would like an excuse to change his situation. We met each other in Japan and think about moving back there. The presidential election may have many unintended consequences. ;) I don't think that a family can move away from problems, but it's symbolic and would make us feel removed from the policies of the US government and more connected to my husband's side of the family. He's also a Vietnam vet and he's one of those people that likes everybody. But he worked with John McCain, and he LOATHES him, as did most of the other people who worked with him. And I've never heard my uncle say that he's disliked anyone.
